VINEYARD NOTES

The 2021 Ghost Block Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of fruit sourced from our family-owned and organically farmed Rock Cairn vineyard in Oakville and Ghost Block Vineyard in Yountville. This property is characterized by deep, gravelly loam soil with a western exposure. The vines produce highly concentrated fruit late in the season and are typically the last picks of our harvest. Five blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon separated by age reside on this site, ranging from 5- to 35-year-old plantings. This provides an opportunity for capturing characteristics that are specific to vine age, creating a perfect blend to express this valuable site. In this particular vintage, we have incorporated fruit from the renowned Ghost Block Vineyard in Yountville to complement this complex wine.
