Spoetzel Brewery is one of the oldest independent breweries in the U.S. and is well known for their craft beer offerings. German and Czech immigrants who craved the brews of their motherlands founded the brewery in 1909 and kept it running through Prohibition by selling ice and near beer. Brewed since 1913, Shiner Bock is an amber ale that pours clear orange with a small amount of head. Malt dominates the aroma and flavor, with hints of toffee and caramel.
